このワインはワイベルが造るスパークリングワインです。1939年に、スイス移民であったルドルフ・ワイベルによって、スパークリングワインが造られると、カリフォルニアのワイン産業の急速な拡大と共にその生産量を増やします。今ではカスタムラベルの生産を中心に多くのブランドを輩出しています。スタンフォード・ガヴァナーズ・キュベは、元カリフォルニア州知事でセントラルパシフィック鉄道設立者、そしてスタンフォード大学創立者でもあるリーランド・スタンフォード氏が所有していた畑から収穫されたブドウを使用したもの。彼へのメモリアルとして生産されました。
