One of the great winemakers of the Côte de Nuits, Mongeard-Mugneret offers no less than twenty different cuvees, including four Grand Crus. The vines are cultivated using modern methods of pest management The harvest is done manually, and fermentations are long and the aging is done in 50% new barrels for about 18 months.
About Wine100% Pinot Noir, made from vines that are over 50 years of age. The wine is aged in used oak barrels, that impart delicate and soft tannin and oak flavors.
Tasting NotesHas a notable purity which finds expression in its freshness & intense red & black fruit character. On the nose aromas of raspberries & blackcurrants predominate with touches of gooseberries & forest floor notes. The palate is firm, with good structure, acidity & a long, elegant finish.
