Girasole (pronounced jee-ra-sol-ay) Vineyards wines are made from certified organic grapes grown in the rolling benchlands of the Redwood Valley, CA appellation of Mendocino County. All of the grapes that go into their wines are estate grown, and hand-picked from family owned and operated vineyards that date back to the 1950's. Their goal is for you to “experience the fruit as it was meant to be. “
About WineThe stainless steel fermentation process used by their winemaker delivers wines that are “crisp and clean”, allowing the natural flavors of the organic fruit to shine through. While they do use small amounts of toasty oak influences in their wines, Girsasole Vineyards wines are never over-oaked.
Tasting NotesPale straw in color with delicate aromas of peach skin, red apple and honeydew melon. The wine is crafted in a medium weight style with flavors of lemon custard and vanilla with just a hint of caramelized apple and lime. The flavors are all in balance and harmonious with a rich, round creamy mouthfeel.
