Chateau du Seuil is located on the river Garonne, 35km south east of Bordeaux. The Chateau's vineyards are located in both the Graves & Cerons appellations. Dating back to the 1700's Chaeau du Seuil has a tradition of making one the finest wines of Cerons. The Château is owned by Sean & Nicola Allison who manage all aspect of the winemaking and production. Today, the vineyards are cultivated organically and Sean and Nicky want there wines to really express the nature of the "terroir" from which they are grown.
About WineGravel and clay based soil from South-East facing slopes that captured all the summer sun. Harvest at perfect ripeness. The wine was fermented in 70% stainless steel and 30% new oak barrels. 40% was matured in 1-year-old oak to add complexity and enhance the structure. This fruit is 100% organic.
Tasting NotesThis wine is full of fresh aromatic fruit characters – oranges, limes, lemons with peaches and apricots. The palate is medium bodied with a lovely balance, clean fresh acid and a persistent after long after-taste. Fresh, crisp a distinctive terroir of mineral flavours. Serve slightly chilled, ideal with white meats and fish.
