At Cuvelier Los Andes the main grape variety is Malbec. They have planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot. This enables them to create their own blended wines and also contribute to those of Clos de los Siete.
About WineRobert Parker (December 2007):If this is what young vines can achieve, then the sky is thelimit for Cuvelier Los Andes
Tasting NotesFull ruby-red. Wild aromas of black raspberry, truffle, game, chocolate, roasted meat, tar and sexy oak. Lush and smooth but not overly sweet, with rich blackraspberry and iron flavors showing a positive rusticity. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. I like theFrench funk here.
