The innovative Dominio de Valdepusa vineyards were planted as recently as a decade ago. Located Malpica de Tajo, near Toledo, they cover some 50 ha, and employ state of the art trellising and irrigation systems. Consultants who have been employed include luminaries such as Emile Peynaud and the ubiquitous Michel Rolland, and the wines are made in a modern, rich style.
About WineSvmma Varietalis which is Latin for addition of the varietals, is a fruit forward, wine made from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes from estate vineyards in Dominio de Valdepusa. 12 months aging in French oak barrels. A limited bottle edition. Estate bottled.
Tasting NotesPacked with layers of wild red fruits amidst mineral and spicy notes. Complex with plenty of ripe fruit backed up by soft tannins, with remarkable fruit finish and overall balance.
