Keith Nichols' approach to winemaking is both a scientific and artistic approach. It is mixing the two that results in excellent wine. Therefore, by selecting the right fruit and understanding its personality you can then determine what artistic approach and direction to take the wine through. One needs to be in close contact with the fruit leading up to harvest as well as nurturing it through the winemaking process.
Tasting NotesThis Syrah has fruit that invites your mouth to experience it. It’s color is deep rich ruby purple. Unveiled on the palate are; Plum, Currant, Blackberry, Cherry and Cassis fruit. The fruit is intertwined with layers of spice and cedar. The Syrah is complex, rich, and well balanced. Tannins are laid back but, provide the right backdrop for the fruit to come forward and please the palate.
